New Bedrooms and Being Anxious
For weeks I've been itching to put the baby's room together, but it's just now happened. Paul and I moved our bedroom upstairs into a room that needed some major renovations with the thought that the baby would take our room downstairs. But before our room upstairs could be completed, a bonus room needed to be completed. This long chain of events finally came to fruition last weekend, and so this weekend we were able to really complete the baby's new abode. We give you . . . baby boy's new room! As with Greta's room, we tried to incorporate things we've collected over the years from our travels. In this room, there are items from Egypt, Niger, Ghana, Cuba, Spain, Panama, Honduras, and of course, North Carolina. My mother's hands made the crib bedding and there is a little tin piggy bank from my childhood. We hope he comes soon, and we hope he likes his new room as much as Greta seems to.
Because we were squarely against the notion of buying a second crib, we moved Greta into her big girl bed a few months back, and stored the crib until it could be set up in the baby's room. To go with her new sleeping arrangements, we outfitted her in some new bedding, switched the rocker for a comfy pink reading chair, and got a new dresser for her. And now . . . we give you Greta's room with a bit of a facelift!
