Goodies and Babies
We've spent the last several Saturday mornings at the Farmers' Market. Paul and I have been shopping for the week, and Greta seems to have been eating for the week. She's a huge fan of fresh blackberries and strawberries - - and the dirtier, the better. By "dirtier" I mean her clothes as well as the fruit.
Once home, Paul and Greta have been making our bread for the week (thanks to some lessons from our friend, Carey). This was an experiment in going from the classic white recipe to a darker wheat one. Pesky bread keeps rising, and you have to beat it down!
It takes four fists sometimes!
But the outcome is pretty devine. We've been eating these two loaves along with tomatoes at least once a day for most of the week. And those peaches became a cobbler. Love summer (and a husband who bakes)!
Late at night once the delectibles are put away, it's time for Greta to gather her "bobbies". Here are three of the four she carried around all day. Note that while it's 8:30 at night, Greta still holds her sunglasses - - and I ended up removing them from her face before putting her into her crib after she fell fast asleep. Hilarious.
