Asheville with the Brushes

We went to Asheville this week to visit with one of my dearest friends from childhood through today and her darling family. My camera died there (no battery), and so I relied on Lisa for some photos. Thanks for sending them, Lis! Above is a shot of Greta and me playing on the rocks at Sliding Rock in Brevard.
Above are Greta and Miles, Dave and Lisa's oldest son. He was so sweet with her - - all big brother. Paul enjoyed wrestling with the three boys. Below are Miles and Greta in Asheville. We ate in several delicious vegetarian restaurants, and had to run off some energy on the sidewalks outside the restaurant before, during(!), and after dinner.
Greta and Jon David took the opportunity to do some cuddling. They are about seven months apart in age - - just like Lisa and me. Look at those chunky arms!
Here they are again.
The highlight of the trip was a quick visit to Sliding Rock in Brevard. Here are Paul and Miles sliding down the rock into the freezing cold pool of water below. At the top of the rock are David and Bay waiting their turn. The rest of us played on the rocks at the bottom of the Falls. Fun but cold!
We had a great time and can't wait to do it again next summer!
