Christmas Morning

Our first Christmas in our new house and in Santiago.  We woke up to a warm and sunny day to find that Santa had come with what everyone wanted along with a few surprises.

Paul woke early to start the cinnamon rolls.

Who needs cinnamon rolls when you have a stocking full of candy?

Wyatt found it hard to keep his big name on the small tag.

Greta has started calling Paul "Papa" or "Poppy" as per her new Spanish language roots.

We always aim to keep it kind of small, but Christmas gets bigger than we plan year after year.  Madness.

Yum.

We spent all day losing and finding this airplane from Aunt Lori.  We made a special sign that said in Spanish:  "We lost our plane in your yard.  Can you throw it back over our fence?"  We had to post that sign in three yards that morning.  It always came back!

I love Christmas day after all the morning fun.  Lots of back porch snuggles with my girl.

Finally our neighbors, Jose Luis and Maca, brought over some olive oil and a gingerbread house on Christmas afternoon.  This house was made out of cucho flee!  What a great twist on this tradition.
Paul and I counted it up, and we've spent Christmas in Israel, Palestine, Egypt, Cuba, Niger, Mexico, France, and now in Chile.  Of all the places we've traveled, none compare to sharing our traditions with our lovely babes - -where ever we are.  Merry Christmas!
