Just a Few Good Times

Wyatt sticks pretty close to us, but he has begun to venture away to play alone.  This rarely happens because Greta is always around to play with.  But on the rare instance Wyatt is here without her, he has started enjoying a little time to himself.

Each morning, about the same thing unfolds:  Wy wakes up (in our bed, which he enters around 3:30 each morning) and says:  "Dinner?  Up, Mama!  Dinner!" all the while pointing to the door of my bedroom.  We meander downstairs and eat breakfast.  Wy sits on my lap as we eat together or he is just fine to sit in his own chair, too.  In all situations, though, Wyatt is a big part of any cooking that we do.  "STIR eggies!!!" Finally, we go in to wake Greta who is notoriously hard to rouse.  Even when she does emerge from her room without being prompted, she needs a good thirty minutes of dedicated snuggle time before she can do much of anything else.  With Paul usually gone by this point and Wyatt bouncing off the walls while Greta is a zombie, there is only one thing to do:  Two Babies!  We call this action - the holding of these kids on my lap at once - "Two Babies".  We even have a little song about Two Babies.  I've got the two babies, two babies, I've got the two babies, two babies, two babies (repeat).  It's admittedly not super creative.

I also have the sweet babies.  That is for sure.
