Greta is very interested in writing lately. She has several little books and pens stashed all over the house, and she pulls them out routinely for writing. She can now write all of her letters, so she also wants us to spell words out for her so that she can write them. Yesterday morning, over breakfast, Greta wrote this first one. She wrote a string of letters and then asked me to copy her. Then she'd ask me to underline my letters, and she would underline some of her letters. It's unreal to see this process unfold.
Last night, Paul read Mr. Brown Can Moo! Can You? to Greta and Wyatt before bed. As he read, Greta was lying in her bed with her little notebook - just writing away. Once the book was finished, we went through it, and she wrote the words that were in bold in the story - in her notebook.Above, you can see Eek Eeek and Cock a Doodle Doo and Hoo Hoo Hoo Hoo.
Below, you can see those words in G's sweet handwriting.
One of those magical nights that I want to bottle and put on a shelf to pull down one day. Sweet Greta.
