A couple of Sundays back, we spent the afternoon walking from my office out to Freedom Park along a lovely urban greenway trail. It snakes under bridges and back up to street level winding all the while by a little creek that is in the process of renewal. We met with bikers and walkers and roller bladers. We saw dogs and cranes and little fish. We even met a few friends along the way. We walked about six miles, round trip, and the turn around spot was this park. Charlotte still has much to be discovered, and it takes lazy days to initiate the discovery.
