Christmas Time!

This year for Christmas, we were at home for most of the holiday. Around Wyatt's birthday, we got busy getting everything ready, and we had help from Nana, Grandaddy, and Aunt Lori.
The tree was the first big priority, and Wy helped with the lights.
Aunt Lori and G took care of the ornaments.
Grandaddy watched!

We needed a little nourishment for all the festivities - - so what else? Biscuits! Greta likes to eat the dough as much as the finished product!
We did crafts.
And we made candy to eat and to deliver to our friends!
Divinity is an old staple that I grew up eating every Christmas. Glad to keep the tradition going.
Story time for two with Aunt Lori. What a good time these guys always have when she comes to visit.
All that decorating, cooking, crafting, and reading made us a little sleepy.
But not too much so for cookie-making, too! This year we used Aunt Bridget's gingerbread recipe, and it turned out perfectly! A far cry from all my old attempts which yielded crispy, tasteless cookies. This year, they were soft and yummy. Look at that concentration!

Decorating them was more fun than eating them, even. We learned that Greta has a thing for red hots.
Christmas calls for time spent with good friends, too. We spent a lovely night with the Formans and the Cumbuses, and Carey graced us with a delectable display in culinary noodle-making success!

The big kids and one little guy. Baby Silas and Baby Camille were hanging out with their parents, but Wyatt is officially in between and can hold his own with the best of the three-year olds.
This is how most nights during December ended. Warm, happy, and chocolate-covered.
Merry Christmas!
