Max and Amy

Greta has been into pretend play for awhile now, but recently, she's taken it to another level. She has two imaginary dogs. One is named "Max" and the other "Amy". She gives them food and water and picks them up and carries them around. She pats her leg to call them and makes sure that I get them into the car when we travel. Periodically while in the car, she'll ask how Amy and Max are doing up front with me. It's hillarious. We love dogs and make sure that Greta is exposed to dogs every chance we can. This means that we dog sit our friends' dogs, approach all dogs at the park, and are on constant lookout for dogs out on walks. I'm pretty sure that we've preached the good news of dogs for so long that Greta is now certain that she wants one. For now, anyway, she's most happy with her imaginary ones. We are too, since - come to find out - imaginary ones don't shed. And did I mention that Max and Amy are housetrained?
