Greta prepared a little snack for Santa earlier this evening. A gingerbread man, some chocolate chip cookies, and a carrot for the reindeer.
She placed it by the chimney where the stockings were hung with care in hopes that St. Nicholas soon would be there.
The children were nestled all snug in their beds.
While visions of sugar plums danced in their heads.
Then Mama got up from nursing the baby - - and found that Santa had come already!
The stockings were stuffed and in plain sight . . .
. . . were the presents Santa left tonight!
Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night!
