Smart Take Two

Another little kids-are-smart story: sometimes when Greta and I leave home together in the morning, we sit for awhile on the front steps right after exiting the house and locking up but before getting into the car. We did that this morning. Greta noticed a spider's web - no spider, just the web. She pointed to it and then started doing the hand motions for Itsy Bitsy Spider. I continue to be amazed at how she puts things together which do not seem obvious to me at all. Right after we sang the song, Greta spotted some ants, shouted "Ants!", and began stomping on them. She may be smart, but she could probably use some work on compassion. :)
