During . . . (don't worry, they haven't been heated yet!)
And after! Still listening for the last few jars to POP!
The canning process makes me think of my own childhood. Not that I ever did much to help my mom can fruits and vegetables from my dad's garden - - but I always sat around and talked to her while she did it and then listened for the jars to pop after sealing. Tonight made me think of that. Greta crawled around on the kitchen floor during the process, but she was asleep for the popping! Next time . . . . Happy Summer!
