Since Greta first began to eat food at around 6 months old or so, she has been the best eater! She has consistently eaten about anything I've given her, and she has eaten a very wide variety of foods. Nothing has phased her - - textures, lumps, hot, cold, creamy, crunchy - -she has always eaten it all. Until lately. Now she still eats just about anything, but she does so completely inconsistently. One day she LOVES a particular food, and the next day she literally cannot tolerate the very idea that I would put it even close to her mouth. Following are two videos of our breakfast yesterday morning. Keep in mind that the night before, she ate SO much avocado that I thought she might end up eating the whole fruit! Plus, she ate as many blueberries as our neighbor, Carrie, would give her yesterday. This morning: a whole different story. We just keep trying the same old foods and we keep adding new ones. As long as there are some Cheerios in there for good measure, all is well. No doubt that Greta gets her grain quota every day. (Note: these videos are backwards. Watch the bottom one first. I try everything to get her to eat more than Cheerios. Then we take a break and in the second video, I do a couple of different things - - finally somewhat successful.)
