Some Kid Stuff and Some Grownup Stuff

Nana and Grandaddy took the kiddos to Kidzania, a play place modeled on a city for kids.  You "fly" there on an airplane and then get some money from the bank.  You can spend money to do fun things and earn money by doing jobs.  Greta and Wyatt worked in a bread company, dairy, recycling center, for the fire department, as a pilot, for a window washing service, in a grocery store, as a bricklayer, and on and on.  We were there for something like nine hours.  Kids loved the hairnets and hands-on activities, but by the end, they were done.   So were the grandparents!

The next day, mom and dad and I visited the Santa Rita vineyard.  We had our tour, tasted our wine, and had a fantastic lunch on the grounds.  They had only been in Chile for a few days and already they knew enough to appreciate a good meal.

Since the earthquake in 2010, the vineyard has been stacking its bottles and labeling them differently.  Apparently, huge amounts of wine was either lost to broken bottles or to bottles being mixed together with no idea which were which.

A view of the city.  Smog and all!
