Wyatt had three head injuries in one week's time. First, he fell out of chair at a friend's party and hit his head on the corner of a concrete block. This necessitated a run to the ER and three stitches. We went back to the party, watched him for concussion symptoms (none), and that was that. But three days later, he got this same head stuck between two handrails at school. His head was bleeding front and back, and we were afraid he had opened up the original wound. We went to the nurse and she said that the wound was fine and that he'd just gotten a new small cut right beside it. We had the stitches out on a Saturday, and on the following Tuesday, Wyatt fell on his back at school while playing and was taken to the nurse for more bleeding in this same spot. This time around, he just knocked the scab off. Thus producing a new scab. The moral of the story is this: hope this kid never goes bald, because he's going to have one hell of a scar on the back of his head.
Ice cream made the original bad day MUCH better. Poor guy. . . .
