January and February 2014

January and February flew by so quickly because we started our prep for moving to Chile.  To sell or to rent out our home?  To sell or store our furniture?  There were so many decisions and in the middle of it all we had about four snow days, hosted numerous tea parties for our baby dolls, started swimming lessons and soccer practice, lost a tooth, and had visits from grandparents.  Sixty days is not much time by any account, but especially given our busy family.
 Princesses and Superheroes abound.

Not much to say about this picture except that he is one of the cutest human beings on the planet.
We set these dog crates up in order to take photos of them so that we could sell them on Craigslist.  Turns out, they make fantastic play houses.  Greta almost had me convinced that the smaller one needed to go in her bedroom.  Almost.
On one of the first pretty Spring days, Greta and Wyatt put on a basketball "show" for us.  They made a stage for Paul, all the babies, and me on the back deck.  They donned their Ole Miss gear, and Greta cheered while Wyatt played basketball.

Grandma and Grandpa came to visit.  Greta and Wyatt arrived from school and were greeted with clues to a scavenger hunt throughout the house in search of Grandma's presents.  So fun!
Our good friend Alison from Peace Corps came to visit one night with her sweet baby William.  Greta LOVES babies, and this night was so fun for her.

Snow Days!  We had back-to-back snow days in February which resulted in lovely days with family and neighbors.

We spent the first morning lying around in bed looking at birds right outside our bedroom window.  We decided the birds needed some treats!

A new birdhouse was a good idea, too.  Don't want those birds left out in the cold!

Wyatt always spends a good deal of time drawing pictures in the steam on the bathroom windows.  The snow days freed up even more time for his pass time.

Greta and I played dress up including hair, make up, and fancy dresses.

All the while, day after day - - it just kept snowing!

Who do you want in a snowstorm with you?  Spiderman, of course!

We got Valentine's packages from Aunt Lori and Nana which contained some little hearts.  Wyatt and Greta wanted those on the front door right away.

The snow gave us LOTS of time for "kiss your face off".

Wyatt whipped us up a little chili for dinner. He has super powers, you know.

Dad made us some treats!

We played cards and watched cartoons and played on the ipad.
The do-nothing days with snow on the ground seemed endless.

Then we made the biggest snowman I've ever seen.

 My beauty.
We had a fantastic Winter!  Welcome Spring!
