Of all the beautiful parts of Greta's little soul, I think her ability to feel deeply is her most enviable trait. She is quick to feel love. And pain. She is fast to feel fury and injustice. Greta sees the world with understanding eyes and wants to help those around her. When others are hurt, she feels hurt, too. We recently gave away the crib that we used for both Greta and Wyatt. We took it to the Salvation Army, and I tried to explain to Greta that we were giving it away to a baby who might not be able to afford a new crib. Greta absolutely understood this and asked lots of questions about why someone wouldn't have enough money for a crib. But her eyes were filled with tears about this deletion from our things. Our sweet girl is a softy, and I love her so.
