Happy Birthday, Goosie
She's THREE! How did this happen? My Goosie-Goosie-Greta is three years old!? This weekend we celebrated her birthday and we are still celebrating, actually. Tomorrow is cupcake day at school, and then - I think - the partying will be finished. More pics to come, but here's a taste of her party yesterday. The day started like this: our happy little G helped her dad make cupcakes for her party.

Even Grandma got in on the action. Sprinkles, purple frosting, and lots of licking (Greta, not Grandma)!
Purple is her "favorite" . . . .
We trucked all the party stuff out to the little park by our house. We were met by the kids in our neighborhood and a few of Greta's best friends from school/life. And aside from Greta, the star of the show was Mr. Twister! He twisted balloons for us during the whole party. This started with the giant purple and red balloon "thing" that he brought and taped to the center of our table.
Little did we know that the table topper was just the beginning. Amy enjoyed the octopus and bracelet, and she even got recruited to help Mr. Twister on his next gig since she was a pretty superb balloon twister herself!
Sarah got some "balloon bling", too.
Interestingly, the children were not as enthralled with Mr. Twister as the adults. They preferred the playground.

Of course, Silas made an appearance, too. For now, he's Greta's youngest bud. That is - - until Katie's new baby girl arrives!
Finally, we sang happy birthday to Greta and she blew out the candles before the wind got them.

To keep Wy from eating the sidewalk chalk, Grandma kept him in tow for the afternoon. He ate a cupcake, did some swinging, and went face first down the slide a time or two. Sweet little brother let Greta shine.
At the very end of the party, I finally snapped a shot of the whole crew. Here is the best shot of the group minus a child or two.
Happy Birthday, Greta. We love you and we had the best day with you!
