Nana and Grandaddy!

Nana and Grandaddy came for a week-long visit! We have been able to see them every single month since May, and we are getting used to it. Tonight as I put Greta to bed, she kept asking why they had to go home. While parting is sweet sorrow, we have such a good time while they are here, that it's just that much more fun counting down the days til we see them again. On this trip, the outdoor temps reached 100 a time or two, so there was a lot of hunkering down indoors. Greta and Wy did some serious bonding. As an aside, this picture is proof that my children really look nothing alike. It's pretty amazing to me how different siblings can look, and I wonder if that will change as they grow.
Wyatt decided that this was the week to start eating in earnest. This boy has probably gained two pounds this week! He's spent a ton of time in this high chair!

Nana read about a zillion books and played with these guys nonstop for a solid week. Greta loves school and her friends there, but she'd rather stay home with Nana and Grandaddy any day.

Wyatt is just about crawling. He is "creeping" - - which really means that he gets up on all fours and then lunges at whatever it is that he's trying to grab. He gets pretty much anywhere he wants to go this way, but it makes for a bit of rug burn on his little knees.

More eating . . . .

We went on a bunch of walks in the late evenings, but one day during the heat of the day, Nana and Grandaddy found a way to get these guys outside - - the splash park!

We had a fun visit! Thanks for coming to see us, Nana and Grandaddy!
