Snow Days

It snowed about three inches here in Charlotte on Sunday night. Of course, that meant that schools were closed, so we enjoyed a long weekend with Monday off. However, since the temperature never really got high enough to melt the snow and because Tuesday brought sleet and freezing rain - - schools were also closed Tuesday and today! I spent my time inside snuggled up with Wyatt while Paul and Greta played with the Mastos and the Sanders. Here they are with a make-shift plastic sled.

Apparently Greta face planted on her first run down the hill, and from that point on, she decided to watch the others slide instead of begging for her turn as she usually would.

It's been a pretty good year for snow so far - - three in all. Maybe one day we'll all spring for real sleds for these occasions. Until then - - these "southern" kids don't yet know what they are missing.
