Snow in Charlotte!

The predictions were right this time! Forecasters said we'd get three to eight inches of snow - - ok, ok, we got an inch - - but we got SNOW! Last night as the flakes began to fall, Paul and Greta went outside to check it out. You can get the boy out of Michigan but you can't get the Michigan out of the boy! Greta was laughing her little head off at the prospect of putting her hands in the snow and eating it off the deck table. Visions of the boy in A Christmas Story with his tongue stuck to the pole were in my head as I watched her do that. We dragged her back in, all too unhappy. This morning, when she woke up, she went right to the back door again. We looked out and she was all smiles to see all the white! When Paul woke up, Greta took her shoes to him. He put them on over her pajamas, and then she took him her hat and coat. After Goose was bundled up, she took Paul his shoes, all the while pointing to the door with an ecstatic, "Unh, unh!" Translation: "Let's go outside and play in the snow!!!" Here's Greta last night eating her first snowball.
Here she is exploring the backyard this morning around 6:45.
This morning in the backyard.
We'll post more later today when she, no doubt, does some version of sledding. On what? Not sure, but we'll figure it out. Happy snow day everyone!
