The Beach!

This Labor Day weekend, we headed to Florida to visit Paul's brother and his family. We had so much fun! Because I have so many great photos from the trip, I'm breaking it up into sections. These are from our day at the beach. Here's Eli with his collection of some sort of sea creatures. Not sure still what they are, but you'll see a close-up soon. Speaking of close-ups, here are Greta's little tiny feet in the sand - - her first steps on the beach!
And here is exactly what she thought of the beach - - mildly interested and somewhat nervous. We were there on a very windy day at high tide when the waves were crashing hard on the sand. Greta was not eager to get away from Paul in particular and something to hold onto in general.
Seriously, can't we go back to our living room? Or at least the grass?
Although a bit skiddish, Greta did fine and was pretty sweet checking everything out.
This is about as adventurous as she got. Still holding onto Paul, though.
Now for Eli's little critter. What are these things?
Evan is seriously a water baby. This kid swims like a fish!
Toward the end of the day, Greta was pretty pooped. It's tiring being so worried the waves are going to get you!
Made her pose for a couple of shots before she totally passed out and slept in my arms for the remainder of the day. Sweet girl.
Stay tuned. I have many more photos of our weekend trip! Just need more hours in the day to get them all loaded. Thanks again, Steve and Heather, for a great weekend!
