Beach Weekend (again!)

This weekend we went to Holden Beach in North Carolina with some friends and their little boys. We had a fabulous time. The weather was rainy and cool, but it was a perfect weekend, nonetheless. Let's see . . . we started with food. LOTS of food. This kitchen scene is the closest thing I have to a group shot. Everyone is in the shot except Alex - who was napping - and me. We seemed to spend alot of time in the kitchen. :) Kevin's delicious lunch broil. Mmmmmmm.

Next up, a pre-cursor to the infamous Baby Races (video to come). This time around, only Cooper and Greta were involved because Alex was still napping. Kevin tried to bribe his child to reach the top with money. Very low, Kevin. Very low. This is the view from the house - - very serene and lovely. Chloe, the dog, was wishing to hit the beach sooner than later.

Ah, the beach.

Once we decided that Greta's head was probably too big to fit through the rails, we kind of let her loose on the porch. She loved it!

Still not a huge fan of being right near the ocean, but Greta did thoroughly enjoy looking at it through the porch rails.

Finally, the sun broke through long enough for us to take a quick trip to the beach, proper. Greta got a lift on Paul's shoulders.

Sweet sweet sweet babe.

With Alex around, Greta enjoyed just a moment or two in the sand.

She wanted to show Alex her cute suit and her lovely legs. :) Then time for a snuggle with mom and dad before heading back.
