As has become our custom of late, we spent the afternoon in the back yard with Greta. Since she isn't crawling yet, she does a lot of rolling and scooting around. When she gets stuck she whimpers a little until we put her back on track. Even when we hold her these days, she tries to roll around in our laps. Once this girl gets truly mobile, look out!

Think I'll chew on dad's knee and then . . . oh . . . that chair looks more delicious.

Here's a blue stacker thing, dad.

Pause for mom - - why does she ALWAYS have that shiny thing pointed at me? Who cares, though, right? She makes me smile.

Smiling is finished - - back to the purple thing.

The toys are fine, but I'd really love to eat some of this grass.

Let me choose the best piece . . . .

What's going on over there? Bird? Squirrel?

Shoes! That's what I've missed. Almost covered this whole blanket, and I darn near forgot the shoes!

Now to the green one. Whew, gettin' hot.

And sleepy.

But not sleepy enough. Still things to be discovered.

Like this green thing!

After a couple of hours of rolling around, we fed Miss Greta some peas, gave her a duck bath, and popped her into bed. It's now 7:45 and she's sound asleep. All that rolling around makes for a very tired chickadee. Goodnight, sweet girl.
