Next comes a little breakfast and a wardrobe change. Today, breakfast was milk and sweet potatoes and rice cereal. She is now six months old, and so we began feeding Greta rice cereal about a week ago. She has also just begun eating her first vegetable in the last two days. Despite her wearing a bib when I fed her this morning, you can still see traces of sweet potatoe on her collar. And I found some in her nose a little later in the day!
As you might be aware, Greta puts EVERYTHING in her mouth. I took this past Monday off, and among other things, Greta and I strolled around Ikea. I bought her this little toy, and this morning she tried to eat it.
"How am I going to get it in my mouth, mama?" [Note: she pulled that toy up onto her lap herself.]
"And these blocks look really tasty, too!"
Speaking of tasty . . . dinner was (you guessed it) sweet potatoes again! This time Paul fed her. Let's just say that he enjoyed letting Greta take control of the situation and the spoon.
Not sure if she's looking for some help or someone to celebrate these little victories with her. She's having fun with Dad at dinner, though.
I just love all the pictures....brings back lots of memories! I think Miss Greta just might have more potatoes outside than inside.
