We hosted Bridget, Justin, Sam, and Morris for Easter and Spring Break this year. Despite being home for the break, it felt like we actually went away for a vacation. We hiked Crowders Mountain and Linville Gorge. We went to the children's museum, cruised around Uptown, spent one day at the Whitewater Center, and spent another at Freedom Park. It was so nice to be able to show our sweet family our 'hood. Greta, Sam, and Morris had slumber parties every night in G's room, and our house got much smaller but accomodated everyone cozily. Thanks to Justin and Bridget for making the trip!
Crowders Mountain hike.
Easter goodies! The Easter Bunny left Wyatt this basket . . .
. . . and he left Greta this basket.
The Easter Bunny also hid our colored eggs all over the house. Wyatt was hot on the trail of this egg. Can you find it?
The Easter Bunny even found Sam and Morris all the way down in North Carolina!
Sweet Sam read this new book to G.
All decked out for church. A little chilly, but that's usually how it works out.
Easter Brunch! Sam sat at the grown-up table.
After brunch, the kids played "going to disney world" for a hour or so. They packed their bags and went up and down in and out of the tree house to and from disney. They do not believe in packing light, just fyi.
We spent the afternoon walking and playing in Freedom Park.
Next day at the Whitewater Center, Sam, Justin, and Bridget did a few of the ropes courses. Sam is a pro! After, we did more hiking while Uncle Justin went mountain biking.
Greta, Wy, Mo, and I played around by the runs and did a little bouldering - - and snacking.
On their last day, we hit Linville Gorge and did five miles of hiking.
Aunt Bridget reminds me alot of Aunt Lori -- both CRAVE the sun by April.
Thanks again for an amazing week! We love you guys! Come back and visit us again!
