Wyatt is Two Years Old!

Wyatt's big day started with a party at church.  It wasn't a party for him, exactly, but he enjoyed nibbling on this gingerbread house and singing Christmas carols.  Santa?  Wyatt wanted no part of him.
Blue icing?!  Blue tongues.  Blue fingers.  BLUE!  Paul was in the throes of finals this week, so Wyatt enjoyed a store-bought cake much to Paul's chagrin.  Wy didn't seem to mind, though.

Prince Wyatt!
Presents!
Grandma and Grandpa got Wy The Little Engine that Could.  It has a recording feature, so when you open the book, you can hear Grandma's voice as she reads the story.  One day Wyatt will very much appreciate the fact that his grandmother's voice is recorded in a story just for him.  For now, however, the best part of the book is the button that one uses to record in the first place.  Wyatt opens each page and presses the button.  It tells you something to the effect that the recording device is locked. Wyatt presses it over and over and over.  Good thing it's locked, or Grandma's voice might be history.

Aunt Lori got Wyatt this excellent car carrier for all of his little matchbox cars.  Wy loves it!
The party guests!  Sweet Colin, Anna, and Baby Joey!  Plus G, of course.
Paul and I got Wyatt a basket of balls.  All sizes.  All shapes.  Some glow in the dark.  Some make noise.  Best gift we've ever given this child.
Wyatt gives his cars a ride in his new dump truck, courtesy of Nana and Grandaddy!
Another really great thing about the party - - balloons!  Wyatt took these balloons all over the house for two days.  This was their most dangerous location, but Wy lives on the edge.
Happy Second Birthday, buddy.  We love  you!
