Deep Thoughts
This morning on the car ride into work, Greta said, "Mom, can you hear this?" I listened and heard nothing. Once more, "Mom, can you hear this?" I turned the radio down so that I could really try to hear her. Then I said, "Greta, what should I be listening for? What noise are you making?" Greta said, "I'm talking from my head. Can you hear it?" Awesome. I asked Greta what she was talking about inside her head, and she said that she was saying to herself that the jeep on the street looked like her swim teacher's jeep. Amazing. I just love her discoveries of her own super powers - - the ability to think thoughts that no one else can ever know. This is the reason childhood is so remarkable. Imagine if adults could discover such things about themselves on a regaular basis!
