At Uncle Matt's Request. . .
Here as an interesting tid-bit - - probably wouldn't have made it to the blog but for Uncle Matt's suggestion. ;) Paul and I know that we influence Greta and eventually Wyatt in their behavior, disposition, habits, and etc. We try to eat well in front of them. Exhibit patience. Reserve judgement. All those things that most parents work on. Not sure how good we are at those things, though, since the main habit that my two year has picked up on lately has revolved around a busy morning I had when I walked out of the house and forgot my wallet. As I was leaving our home in a major hurry with two kids in tow, I realized I didn't have my wallet, and I had no idea where it was. I looked around for it and said, "Oh, sh*&!" because I couldn't readily find it. That was over a week ago, and from that day until today, each morning as Greta, Wyatt, and I leave the house, just as we are about to open the door to go outside, Greta holds her hands up in the air and looks around as if she's trying to find something. She then says, "Wallet? Oh, sh*#!" No muss. No fuss. No fanfare. She just says it as if those are the parting words with which all people leave their homes. Now if I could just teach her to eat vegetables this way, we'd be on to something.
