Milestones

Greta has done a few new tricks during the last 24 hours.

First, she slept the whole night in her big girl bed! We put up a rail along the side just to protect her from rolling off the bed during the night. But we were a little worried that she'd wake up and just hop right out of bed since she can easily exit her big bed. Greta did wake up at the usual hour. Paul and I listened to see what would happen, and she did just what she always does. Greta sat in her bed for a minute or so jabbering and then . . . she went right back to sleep! No attempts at escape!

Second, Greta poohed in the potty! We were in the dining room and she pointed to her diaper and said, "Pooh. Potty." This happens just about daily, but normally, by the time she tells me about it, she's already done it and the potty is useless. But not today! Today, Greta told me before the fact, and I rushed her into the bathroom, sat her on her little potty seat insert, and just like that - - she used the potty in a meaninful way for the first time! I think she was a bit taken aback by Paul and me dancing around the bathroom clapping our hands. :)

Our sweet baby is growing up.
