Americana

This past weekend, we traveled to Atlanta to visit Uncle Steve, Aunt Heather, and Eli and Evan. Plus, we got to see the baby bump that will one day be our sweet new baby girl cousin! While in Atlanta, Greta experienced a few little slices of Americana: the fabulous Atlanta Acquarium, eating dinner at The Varsity, and a professional baseball game. She even took her first subway ride. Love the sunscreen on her head - - overzealous skin protecting parents? She'll thank us later. Here are the cousins checking out some fish. Eli and Evan are ready for baseball even though that event isn't until tomorrow.

How can they be so calm with that giant shark right behind them?

Evan and G horsing around.
Next day, we spent a little time swimming in the hotel pool and then headed to the big game! Greta did very well sitting through eight innings, but at times (dare I say it?) she seemed less intrigued by the game as by, say . . . washing mom's sunglasses.

Turner Field. We were in Braves territory, but the game ended 10 to 4 - - Tigers.

Evan enjoyed hanging out with Greta.
Eli enjoyed hanging out with his blue snow cone.
We had a really fun, hot weekend! At one point, we were even on the huge TV in the ballpark. Thanks for coming to meet us on the fly Uncle Steve and Aunt Heather!
