Merry Christmas!
This year we are spending Christmas at Paul's parents' home in Michigan. We started the trip with a very exciting surprise visit by Santa! He popped in to see the Booth grandkids (minus two) and was a hit with everyone except Greta. She wasn't so sure about him.
He took everyone's wish list, and set off on foot to the next house. I guess the reindeer only come out on Christmas Eve.
Greta decided that it would be fun to take a walk outside like Santa, so she bundled up and headed out.
On Christmas Eve, we opened the Booth presents - - the stockings were hung by the chimney with care . . .
. . . while cousins tickled each other in the hallway.
Here's the bunch (left to right): Maddi, Morris, Louis, Sam, Emma, and Greta. Eli and Evan didn't make it to Michigan until Sunday, so they show up a bit later.
Dinner was served before presents were opened since adults are masterminds at torturing children.
Ah, time to get going. Sam and Philip passed out the gifts!
Greta was pretty excited. True to her history she tore off the paper in little tiny bits. It's a major exercise in patience to watch this girl open a present!
Mo got a guitar, a cowboy hat, and cowboy boots for Christmas, so he was all set to sing us a diddy while kicking back with Grampa.
After the gifts were opened, all the kids donned their pajamas, and set off for home to get ready for bed and Santa!
